The second graders took an end of the year field trip to Prairie Village in Madison on May 22. They had a blast exploring the grounds and participating in a Goose Chase. Thank you to the parents for driving!

On the last day of school, we have an all school carnival hosted by parents! Thank you Donna Stolz for all of your above and beyond planning and organizing of all of the events! Thank you also to the businesses who participated in the day! The kids had a blast going on the inflatables and playing big Jenga, then having a water balloon toss competition and memory match of staff, and then playing dizzy bat tic tac toe and Kerplunk. After that, it's laser tag from Thunder Road, bean bags, and tattoos. Everyone got snow cones from Dakota Snow to celebrate on that hot day. Thank you to all of the parents who ran the stations or helped supervise the classes. It was a great time had by all! We ended the day with the annual hot dog toss where Mrs. VanDuyn has to try to catch a hot dog into a bun thrown by a student! It was a great moment shared by all of the students!

On the morning of the last day of
school, we have an ACE assembly where awards are given out for various achievements throughout this school year! We celebrated all grades for something special they accomplished! We are proud of all of our students! Awards were given out by our specials teachers, for Kids Care, Safety Patrol, attendance, band/orchestra, and academic achievements. Way to go! To end our program, we recognized some outstanding outgoing individuals who have went above and beyond in their service and volunteer time at All City! Two 'Spirit of ACE' certificates were given to Mary Pat Norgaard and Jay Skroch. This year's Nancy Plato award was given to Donna Stolz. All three of these individuals were always willing to help out whenever possible and go the extra mile to make sure each child was supported through their unique talents and gifts! Thank you for everything! We wish we could give out an award to every parent because it is such a commitment of time and energy to be here at ACE, but those kids and staff sure do appreciate everything they do/have done! Thank you! As students and families leave the program, we say good bye one last time to our outgoing fifth graders with hugs and high fives! They will be missed!

THANK YOU to all of our volunteers that help in and out of the classroom all year! All City has an outstanding tradition and reputation as a positive successful speciality school and our volunteers play a major role in this success! They allow us to attend multiple field trips by driving/chaperoning, help facilitate Choice Day, supervise at swimming, and help with Kids Care events. They assist teachers in the classroom with projects, daily work, reading with students, bulletin boards, clerical help like making copies, recess supervision, and so much more! They help with the musical production, Chess Club, Student Council, before school duties, room parents, parent trainers/modelers, school newsletter updates, organizing classroom parent schedules, classroom tours, spirit wear, book fair, and being on the PTO board. They organize/plan events like Fall Festival, Snowflake Shuffle, Sock Hop, Welcome Back Social, Farewell/Welcome Social, and any other events that come up throughout the year! They help at lunch, with EIC buddies, special events, class parties, meals for the teachers, and soooooo many more things not even listed! We are so appreciative of their time, energy, support, and dedication to ACE! THANK YOU! THANK YOU! THANK YOU! You are the best!

For our last Family outing of the year, we have our annual tug of war! Kindergarten vs first grade, second vs third, and fourth vs fifth! We love our ACE traditions!

We had our annual Family Kickball face-offs at Elmwood Park! This year it was Gray family vs. Rausis family, Nelson vs Joffer, and then Leloux vs Pike. We had lots of fun on this hot sunny day!

On May 19th, it was every kid's dream come true to pie their teacher in the face!! Kids have been working hard to earn tickets for our PBIS reward system! When students were responsible, respectful, and safe, they earned a ticket. At the end of the year, these tickets went into a drawing to see who got the honors! What a fun, messy way to celebrate good behaviors!!! Thanks for working hard kids!! Thanks for being good sports, teachers! 😜

Field Day Fun
On May 19th, students took to the fields at Elmwood Park to show off their athletic skills in a variety of different events organized by Mr. Borges, our PE teacher. Despite it being a little chilly, kids had a blast and worked hard! Thank you to the parents who helped volunteer at each station and to Mr. B for organizing it all! We love field day!!

Kindergarten graduation was on May 23! Mrs. Pike's class sang songs and presented a video full of memories! We are so proud of everything they accomplished this year! Way to go! Thanks, Mrs. Pike, for being an amazing kindergarten teacher and getting these kids on a successful path at ACE! Thanks also to the parents for all of their help!! Congrats!

Miss Leloux's class always reads Charlotte's Web as a class at the end of the school year! It is then tradition to paper mache little runt piggies like Wilbur! Students get to name them and keep them! They always turn out so cute! Thanks to the parents who helped with this messy project!

5th graders enjoyed some time in the warm sun utilizing the yoga mats and stools we got for the Outdoor Classroom! Only a couple days left of
school til summer!!
